With the restructuring of the faculties of education during the 1997–1998 academic year, the Department of Elementary Education was established under the Department of Classroom Teaching. As of the Fall 2016–2017 semester, the department’s name was changed to “Department of Classroom Education.”

Starting in the Fall semester of the 2018–2019 academic year, our Department began offering education by admitting 60 students to the Elementary School Teaching undergraduate programs.

The department aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to classroom teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, enabling them to specialize in the field. It also seeks to support their engagement in theoretical and practical work to ensure they develop into qualified teachers. Additionally, the department aims to train teachers who are capable of identifying issues in the field of classroom education, developing solutions, evaluating outcomes, and implementing these solutions when necessary.
